When I was in sales with one of the technology companies I worked for in the early 2000s, my manager called me into his office. He overheard a conversation I was having with a prospect and he asked me why I suggested they call one of our competitors. It wasn’t a situation where the prospect was being rude or anything of the sort. The simple fact was, our software products did not match his needs.
My manager couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t sell the prospect our software, he felt that the prospect might figure out a way to make it work for him. I had multiple conversations with the prospect and I knew he would be frustrated with our software and in the end, request a refund. He would also be frustrated with me for selling him something that didn’t fit his needs.
My manager was not happy with me and told me to never do that again. I prefer to have a positive reputation as opposed to being someone wanting to make a sale.
Even though I spent 34 years working for corporations, I never followed the status quo. That is probably one of the reasons I eventually decided to be a solopreneur. I’d rather listen to a prospect’s needs and guide them in the right direction, my integrity is important to me.
After announcing my Menopause Reset Course, I have not made claims of certain results each participant will experience. One of the biggest reasons I haven’t done that is because each woman is very unique and everyone will take the information and guidance I provide and apply it in their own way. Each woman’s hormonal makeup and health status is different as well.
Making certain claims about the results a woman would experience, and at the end of the 12 weeks they haven’t, now she feels like she has failed and potentially, that I have failed her.
I always want to set my clients up for success, part of that is accountability, the other part is listening and answering questions.
There are quick wins a participant can experience but changing lifestyle and incorporating new habits takes time.
The Menopause Reset Course is about establishing habits that are easy to do for the rest of your life.

The biggest goal I have for each participant is to stop the rollercoaster of lose and gain diets. End the constant deprivation in the hopes of finally losing the “x” pounds you’ve been trying to lose for a long time.
If each participant can achieve that, everything else will fall into place.
I’m also hoping we have some fun conversations and share a few laughs. Learning to laugh at myself when I get really serious about something or make a mistake, has definitely helped reduce my stress levels.
