Meet Connie Pretula

The Menopause Navigator

I BELIEVE SOMETHING VERY SIMPLE.

Women deserve time.
They deserve to be heard.
And they deserve guidance that is tailored to them, not handed to them.

By the time many women reach their forties and fifties, they have spent years taking care of others, meeting expectations, and pushing through what their body is trying to tell them.

At some point, things begin to feel different.

What used to work no longer works in the same way.
Energy shifts. Sleep may change. The body feels unfamiliar.

You may be doing many of the right things and still not feel like yourself.

I see this every day.
And I have lived it myself.

As a menopause nutritionist in Vancouver, I work with women over 40 to support their changing bodies and help them rebuild their energy through personalized nutrition and lifestyle guidance.

My Background

Before becoming a Certified Nutritional Practitioner, I spent over three decades in the corporate world.

I worked for 21 years with RBC Financial Group as a personal financial advisor, followed by 12 years in the financial services technology industry.

I understand responsibility.
I understand structure.
And I understand what it means to show up for others, often at the expense of yourself.

That experience shapes how I work today.

When you work with me, you are not receiving a quick plan or general advice. You are receiving thoughtful, personalized guidance that considers your full life.

My Turning Point

In my late forties and early fifties, I began to experience health challenges that didn’t make sense to me.

I was eating well. I was doing what I believed were the right things.
Yet something still felt off in my body.

At age 49, I met a practitioner who did something that changed everything.

She listened.
She looked deeper.
She took the time to understand my body as a whole.

With the right support, I began to feel better. My energy improved, and for the first time, I felt like I was moving in the right direction.

As I started to regain my strength, I challenged myself in a new way.

At one point, I prepared for a bodybuilding competition under professional guidance.

I was committed. I was disciplined. I was doing everything I was told should work.

From the outside, I looked my best.
But internally, my body was struggling.

Between the demands of competition preparation, work stress, and travel, my body began to respond in a way I couldn’t ignore.

That experience became another turning point.

It showed me that even when we are doing everything “right,” without the right kind of support for our individual body, we can still move further away from true health.

That is what led me to leave the corporate world and study holistic nutrition.

Why I Do This Work

Some people say we give what we once needed.

For me, that is true.

What I needed was someone who would take the time to understand me, not just my symptoms. Someone who would look at the full picture and guide me with clarity and care.

That is the standard I bring to every woman I work with.

I am now over 15 years post-menopause, and I can honestly say I feel better in my sixties than I did in my forties.

Not because I found a quick fix.
But because I learned how to support my body differently, and stayed consistent with what it needed.

How I Work

My approach is not based on templates or generic plans.

Every woman I work with receives a personalized plan based on her body, her history, and what she is experiencing right now.

My work is grounded in:

Nutrition as the foundation of health
Understanding how hormones, digestion, sleep, and stress are connected
Identifying underlying imbalances rather than masking symptoms
Practical, sustainable changes that fit into real life

I take the time to understand your full picture, including how you got to where you are today.

I also stand behind the work I do.

Your progress is something we define together, and I remain committed to supporting you until those outcomes are achieved.

What I Believe

I believe menopause is not an ending.

It is a transition into a new stage of life that can be strong, vibrant, and deeply fulfilling when the body is supported properly.

I believe women over 40 are not declining.
They are evolving.

An Invitation

If you are ready to understand what is happening in your body and want support that is personalized, thoughtful, and grounded in experience, I would be honoured to work with you.

You do not have to navigate this stage of life on your own.

With the right guidance, menopause can become a powerful new chapter of health and vitality.
